Here is a complete pictorial guide for your to jailbreak your iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod Touch 3G, 4G and iPad using redsn0w. This jailbreak is still tethered jailbreak which means you will have to connect your iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod Touch or iPad to Computer when it turns off. Redsn0w will help you to jailbreak your iPhone 4, 3GS,  iPod Touch 3G, 4G and iPad running on iOS 4.3.5

When you have downloaded all the files to jailbreak you iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, just follow the simple steps.

Step1:

You have to creat a folder on your desktop named Pwange. The you will put your downloaded 4.3.5, 4.3.4 firmwares in it and Redsnow 0.9.8b4 in the same folder. Redsn0w will be in a zip folder so extract it here.

Step2:

Now you connect your iPhone 4, 3GS iPod Touch 3G, 4G or iPad with your computer and it will detect your iDevice and will launch iTunes. Now select your device from left pane of iTunes and you will find Restore button on it.

If you are running windows then press SHIFT Button from keyboard and then click Restore. This will open a window for you. Now navigate to Pwange Folder you just created on your desktop and point the file iOS 4.3.5 firmware you just downloaded. This will update your firmware to iOS 4.3.5

 

Step 3:

Now you will have to launch Redsn0w you downloaded.

Step4:

When Redsn0w is launched, click on Browse button.

Step5:

In this step, again navigate to Pwange folder and select iOS 4.3.4 instead of iOS 4.3.5. Now Redsn0w will verify the firmware, either it is suitable for your device or not.

Step6:

When it is verified, Then simply click the Next Button.

Step7:

After pressing Next button, Redsn0w will start preparing Jailbreak data for your iPhone4, 3GS, iPod Touc 3G, 4G and iPad.

Step8:

In this step, you will be provided with a number of options on Redsn0w, but you just need to select Install Cydia and leave the rest, and then press Next Button.

Step9:

In this stage, your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad must be plugged into the computer and MUST BE OFF. If it is not Switch OFF your iDevice. When you have done, click the NEXT button.

Step 10:

Now here is the steps involved in putting your device in DFU mode. Don’t panic, it is very simple and easy.

First you have to press your Power Button only for 3 seconds.

Now without releasing Power button, Press Home Button as well. Keep on holding Power Button and Home Button for 10 seconds until your device switches off again.

After 10 seconds release the power Button and wait until your Computer detects your iPhone in DFU mode. (After pressing Home and Power Button at the same time, Count to 7 and release Power Button, your Device will be in DFU Mode.)

Step 11:

At this step your Device will reboot.

Step 12:

Now redsn0w will upload RAM and Kernel Data on your iPhone.

Step 13:

After uploading is complete, you will be notified Done and then click Finish Button.

You iPhone4, 3G, iPod Touch 4G, 3G and iPad are jailbroken.

 

Boot Tethered:

This step is necessary. Now again launch Redsn0w and just select “Just Boot Tethered Now” and press next. Follow the steps again mentioned on redsn0w and your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad will boot now.
