So here is something new for those who want to untethered jailbreak their iPhone 4, 3GS for iOS 5.0.1. He has finally figured out untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1. But the sad thing is that this jailbreak will work only for those devices that have A4 processor. iPhone 4S and iPad 2 have A5 processor. So this jailbreak will not be for those devices.
These are the devices on which he has completed the code for untethered jailbreak.
- iPad (First Generation)
- iPod Touch 4G
- iPod Touch 3G
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4
- Apple TV
Here is what Pod2g said in his blog.
“iPad 1 5.0.1 untethered code is done, testing tomorrow with a friend’s device. Just to let you know my progress in real time. iPhone 3GS 5.0.1 untethered code is done. Testing tomorrow also! iPod 4G 5.0.1 untethered too !
